We are seeking a driven and accomplished HR Manager to join our growing team. The HR Manager will be responsible for the growth and health of our team. This person is comfortable tackling all aspects of HR, from benefits administration to performance coaching to recruiting. This role requires a dynamic, results-oriented individual who can handle a fast-paced environment and react quickly to changing needs and objectives.
For this role, we are open to a contract position of 30-40 hours per week or a full-time role. As a Human Resource Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives that align with the overall business strategy, and oversee recruitment, training, employee relations, benefits, compensation and employee engagement initiatives. The Human Resources Manager will also provide leadership and guidance leadership team and ensure compliance with local and federal regulations.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Recruitment & Hiring
- Manage the recruitment process from sourcing to interviewing to selecting candidates
- Collaborate with Hiring Managers to define job responsibilities and create compelling job listings
- Conduct new employee onboarding and facilitate seamless onboarding with 30/60/90 day reviews
- Forecast hiring needs and maintain organizational chart
Employee Relations
- Address employee concerns and conflicts with confidentiality and sensitivity
- Act as mediator to resolve interpersonal issues within the team when they arise
- Foster a positive work environment
Benefits Administration
- Manage medical, dental and vision insurance along with broker relationship
- Manage life insurance and short-term disability
- Ensure open enrollment happens seamlessly and with enough time for employees to make their elections
Performance Management
- Manage performance review process
- Work closely with managers to set performance goals for employees and develop systems of accountability
- Work with managers to provide constructive feedback to members of their team
- Develop and implement strategies to improve overall employee performance
- Manage compensation strategy
- Conduct exit interviews to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement
Training and Development
- Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge
- Coordinate and conduct training sessions to promote professional growth, especially as it relates to training for managers
- Support career development initiatives and succession planning
HR Platform Management & Documentation
- Manage Gusto, the company’s HR platform
- Maintain up-to-date job descriptions for all positions
- Maintain Company Handbook and ensure it complies with laws and industry standards
Employee Engagement
- Plan and organize annual company trip, events and team-building activities
- Conduct employee surveys to gauge satisfaction and identify areas for improvement
What We’d Like to See in You
Required
- 4+ years of proven work experience as HR Specialist
- Experience working with a cross-disciplinary team in a highly collaborative environment with diverse perspectives and expertise
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to embrace challenges and inspire new ways of thinking and approaching HR challenges

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
